Here is a discussion of some art effects I made this week.

Here is a lantern on a light post that I created in blender. I made the lamp swing by attaching it to a pendulum in Niagara, attached a point light, and gave it glowing particles surrounding it to give it more atmosphere.



Here is a stylized oil slick material that I've applied to a plane, which is to be used for an obstacle on the road. I achieved this effect by offsetting the normals for a flat plane by a random noise then inputting a fresnel curve to the Hue Shift function, so that the oil is iridescent.


Here is a view of the first level scene, where I have added some clouds spawned by a particle system, and a few instances of a building material I made, which tiles the windows and bounces to a certain speed. The side to side movement is determined by a sine wave, while the height movement is determined by an absolute value cosine wave remapped between 0 and a maximum Float.
